Iss raat ki subah nahi is a saddening and heart touching story of gauri, the journey of gauri from the hardships she faced during her childhood to Jail is painful. Eviction of her family from their rented house because of non payment of rent forces them to stay at house built by clothes and with no food to eat but slowly their fate starts to change, her father gets a job and gauri and her brother go to school. But their world turns upside down when her father dies in an accident leading the family again to poverty which forces Gauri's mother to abandon her 7 year old daughter. After being abandoned gauri is rescued by an auto rickshaw driver who cared her like a sister which was not liked by the lady in his house who wanted gauri to be out of her house. Though gauri would do all the house work and remain obedient the hatred of the women was increasing day by day. At the age of 13 she was sent to jail for robbery in the women's house (which was a planned act of the women to get gauri out of the house). Gauri had to spend five and a half years in jail for the robbery she didn't commit at all.

Iss raat ki subah nahi a story about Gauri was covered by a news paper and when this story was published in a NEWS Paper and was read by an elderly couple who instantly connected with the girl an fell in love with her. They wanted to adopt her and give her a happy life, educate her, give the girl a family which the girl dream t her whole life. First gauri refused to meet elderly couple as she thought they want to use her just like others but after much persuasion she accepted their request and the elderly couples wish for a daughter was fulfilled.

"we would like you to help us in our work like a daughter helps her parents, Family, two elder brother's, education and last but not least a happy life is waiting for you dont miss the opportunity life has given you." they said. And indeed after 20 years life has given gauri what she deserves, love, happiness, parents and family. Now gauri is going to school to complete her education and is being brought up with love and affection and most importantly as a daughter by the couple.

I am from the US and I watch every crime patrol episode on Sony ET and after watching this episode of a this little girl from Ghorakhpur in UP who went thorough a traumatic period in her life when she was young after her mother abandned her at a railway station - it really brought tears to my eyes. I salute the couple who adopted this young girl as their own daughter and are giving her a new lease of life. I just hope that "Gauri" goes all the way to University and acquires a thorough profession that will help her for the rest of her life. Nevertheless, its really sad to see that women, children, and infants are treated like dirt in today's India as though they are some worthless commodities. The onus of this should be put on the shoulders of the Indian government. Until and unless the Indian government is stand up and take responsibility for its own citizens - especially women - its going to status quo.

  6. This indeed very heart touching. It is beyond imagination the moment that when her mother abandon her at station...the moment that what child suffered from...
If a person lost wallet of few rupees, he cant recover the shock. So that was
very little innocent child...what she felt that time...This story and that elder couple is the inspiration for those who want to do something for orphans (including me too)...I wish to meet these couple and salute them...This is not single and last stories..in our society there are uncountable Gories are living...we must have helping hand for them too....We always wish to recall our childhood days as those were golden days for us...person like Gouri also has right for good childhood days but they lost it because of fortune.
